Sorry for lack of updates... we're moving...

Dear all,

Sorry it's been a long time since we updated the blog... we're moving places and just completed the move yesterday... things should be better once we settled in!

Meantime, even Zoe's helping out with the move!

Milestone Videos + Random Pics

Zoe achieved quite a few milestones this week but before that, some pictures...

Remember we got her a swimsuit... here it is... sweet in purple and pink!
Still having fun in her island float.
Some one's really flexible and can do a full split!
Steady la.

Ok, on to the milestones... she can move from sit to crawl position and vice versa...

She can crawl... here she goes in search for life....

She can sit and be fed on a high chair... if she likes the food, there is no problem feeding her like the Broccoli and Brown rice that she is having...

Underwater Adventures

Today, we brought Zoe to the Underwater World in Sentosa... to celebrate her 8th month birthday!

First, look at the corals...
Then saw some jellyfish...
Wah.... what a show... and Zoe got front row seats...
Then to the travelator
Where we saw the dudong (ugly mermaid)...Some big fishes that looks quite edible...And this one... don't know what fish..Took a picture with Daddy to commemorate the occasion... Zoe did her kung fu pose...
And someone was really really thirsty
Went to Siloso beach too... photo with Mummy...
and a family photo!

Pretty White Dress

Here's a series on Zoe in her pretty white dress...

Did anyone see my teddy bear... he looks like this *poses*
Ah! There you are... I was so worried about you... let me wear your shirt properly.
Teddy so naughty, run off on your own, I bring you go see Mummy...

Mummy, I found Teddy!

Teething

We noticed Zoe making funny faces lately... and we wonder why...

Kena Tekan to do push up... not happy...

Where is my upper lip?

hmm.... still not happy...
Anyway, we realized that her 2 front teeth have grown out... so she is probably not feeling too comfortable. Good thing is that she has no fever whatsoever.... anyway, gave her some teething rusks and she is fine... made a mess of herself though...

Zoe's new experiences

Zoe generally takes to new experiences pretty well.

Today, she went on a SBST bus ride for the very first time, with her "porpor", mummy and uncle Qiyou for lunch at Ang Mo Kio central. It was right after her nap so she was very quiet but still keenly observing her surroundings (and trying to grab the bag of the person sitting next to her).

Remember those kiddy rides that we used to go on when young? These are still very popular with kids. Zoe had her first ride together with Noddy, whom she seemed to like. She also took to the steering wheel enthusiastically!

This was followed by a coffee at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, where she was enthralled by a small kiddo running around in "squeak squeak" shoes. Here she is together with "PorPor".

It was then time to go home on the same bus, where Zoe smiled happily at complete strangers (it's amazing how the most unlikely people will respond to a baby's smile, such as a grumpy middle aged man).

M&B Baby's Day Out!

Mother and Baby (the magazine) organized a Baby's Day Out event at Hort Park on Sunday morning and we decided to join in the fun! Yes, it's been a busy week....

It was pretty crowded + the fact that everyone has pram so it was very difficult to get around. As for prams.. anyone else noticed that there seems to be more of the SUV of prams lately??

Anyway, since it was crowded and Zoe couldn't crawl (there was a baby crawling contest), we just took the Goodie Bag (we're Singaporeans after all), walked around a bit and left...

In the spirit of the magzine... here's a series of Mother and Baby photos...

Mother and Baby gearing for a walk!
Mother and Baby looking extremely cute in their hats (and pretending to be Japanese tourists)
Mother and Baby hot and tired after cheonging for Goodie bag...

Rainforest Adventures

Ok... now for the Jumparoo post... so we rented the Jumparoo and Zoe really like it (but she doesn't stay in it for more than 10 mins).

First day in it... see how happy she is...
Smiling at the toys...
And a short clip of her dancing (and how the Jumparoo works).

Second day, still loving it...
Oh... and she discovers the dangly things above her!
Reaching for the cockatail... and guess what...
Mealtime!
Another Jumparoo dancing video...

Toy Rental Club

From previous post, you know that Zoe has been swimming topless so on Wednesday evening, we decided to bring her to Kiddy Palace at Toa Payoh to get a swimsuit for her... more to keep her warm than to protect her modesty. While there, we saw this Fisher Price Rainforest Jumparoo and put Zoe in to try and she seemed to enjoy it... but around $250, it is rather expensive and we don't know how long Zoe will play with it.

There is this place in Singapore where you can actually rent toys for kids. A month's rental is around 25% of the full cost of the toy. The place is erm... an unimaginative Toy Rental Club (don't suan people, your blog also call The Baby Blog...) near Alexandra Road. So we went there on Saturday afternoon to rent the Jumparoo for Zoe.

The place is nice, clean, airconed and stacked with toys...
There is even an indoor playground for kids...
F1 fever is still on... so we let Zoe try this car like walker...
but like everything these days... she prefers to devour it...
Anyway, we rented the Jumparoo (more on this later) but Zoe picked up another toy that she liked... a 不倒翁, not sure what is the translation in English but i'll just call it a Wobbly Toy.
The good thing is, it wobbles... so it can squirm out of reach... but again... once Zoe catches it... its mealtime!

Push Ups and Sit Ups

Zoe seems to have came out of Army boot came over the weekend... she can now do push ups and sit up on her own....

Now ladies... try not to do push ups when wearing dresses ok...
Ok, here's how a push up is done.... this is even more difficult than the one where your knees don't touch the ground.... First... flatten yourself on the floor (kissing floor optional).
Two - push your head up...
And then.... arrghh..... there you go.... a perfect pushup.

As for the situps... ok, they are not really situps... but when we sit Zoe by herself... she can support her back on her own for a while now... there she is showing off her flexibility..

and again with her favourite "Starry".

Hari Raya @ Botanic Gardens

Have been wanting to bring Zoe to the Gardens for a while... the last time we tried... it rained so it wasn't much fun....

Wednesday morning... we decided to bring Zoe there again... she seemed more interested in the strap on her pram than at the surroundings...

Well, we enjoyed ourselves though... it was nice and peaceful (we were there around 8am) and the air was fresh...

The only thing was, we brought some nice buns, made hot tea and got all ready to have a nice picnic. But everyone else seems to be jogging, brisk walking or doing some form of exercise... feel kind of bad stuffing our faces... decided to hide in the pavilion and eat instead...
